Thames Chiropractic
"Do something today that your future self will thank you for"
About Us
At Thames Chiropractic, we believe health is about more than getting out of pain. It's about helping your body function well so you can keep doing the things you love through every stage of life.
Many people first visit us because they're dealing with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, poor posture or mobility concerns. Others come looking for answers, a second opinion, the convenience of our in-house digital X-ray facilities, or because they want to take a more proactive approach to their health.
Whatever brings you through our doors, we take the time to understand your goals, assess your individual needs and create a personalised care plan that's right for you. Along the way, many people tell us they notice more than just changes in what first brought them to see us. We often hear people say they're moving more freely, sleeping better, feeling more capable and enjoying life more. Over time, many also begin to see their health differently. Not as something to react to when problems arise, but something worth investing in for the future.
Your care is tailored to your goals, your body and your stage of life.
Comprehensive assessment and in-house digital X-ray facilities, when clinically appropriate, help guide your care.
Providing personalised chiropractic care for people of all ages, from newborns to older adults.
We collaborate with GPs and other healthcare providers whenever appropriate to ensure well-coordinated care.
Our People
A dedicated group of practitioners and support staff united by a passion for natural health and patient wellbeing.
Chiropractor
Born in Brazil and raised in New Zealand, Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Psychology. She pursued chiropractic after experiencing its benefits first-hand, and has worked across rural and urban settings in New Zealand and Australia.
Chiropractor
Chris has been a chiropractor since 2011 and enjoys caring for individuals and families at every stage of life. He loves helping people better understand how a healthy spine and nervous system support the body's ability to adapt and function at its best, a passion that also led him to teach future chiropractors at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Outside the practice, family is at the centre of Chris's life. He and his wife, Tamara, have two teenage children, Cooper and Ella, and enjoy spending time together outdoors and at the beach. He's a passionate sports fan, particularly when it comes to the NRL and cricket, loves keeping active, and appreciates a really good coffee.
Chiropractor
Practicing since 1985 across Australia, Ireland and New Zealand, Dr Pete founded the practice that is now Thames Chiropractic. Over three decades, he's cared for generations of Thames families and built a trusted reputation in the community. Although Dr Pete is dabbling with retirement and enjoying a little more time to travel, it's proving hard to keep him away from the profession and community he loves. You'll still see him in the practice from time to time, seeing patients and providing holiday cover for our chiropractors.
Chiropractic Assistant / Practice Coordinator
A proud Thames local, Steph discovered chiropractic after a severe back injury in 2022 and developed a real passion for helping others experience the same care and support she received. She enjoys building relationships with our practice members and helping them feel supported throughout their care, while also keeping the practice running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, Steph loves spending time with her husband and their two daughters and her extended family and friends.
Chiropractic Assistant
As a Thames local, Nikki has been part of the practice for many years. After discovering chiropractic through her own experience with migraine relief, she developed a real passion for helping others access the same supportive care. Over the years, she's watched generations of local families experience the benefits of chiropractic and loves building relationships with the people who visit the practice. When she's not at work, Nikki enjoys spending time with her family and getting outdoors whenever she can.
Chiropractic Assistant / Owner
As Practice Director, Tamara is passionate about creating an exceptional experience for every practice member and supporting a team that helps make Thames Chiropractic a welcoming place for the whole community. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, Chris, and their two teenage children. When she's not at the practice, you'll often find her at the beach, out fishing, chasing sunsets, cooking for family and friends, or discovering a great place to eat.
